Quotations

You may use the website at any time to obtain an insurance quotation. The quote obtained is only valid if purchased at the time the quotation is actually made, we have no facility to store and retrieve previous quotes made on the web site. We also reserve the right to amend our pricing structure at any time, which may mean that a quote conducted on a particular visit differs in price and /or terms from the next. The price for the requested insurance cover and policy terms and conditions will be those which are viewed at the time of purchase or during the purchase process. During the purchase process you will have the opportunity to enter the date from which the insurance will be effective. All personal possessions insurance runs for a one year term unless the policy is cancelled. All our policies are underwritten by certain underwriters at Lloyds.

Charges

The only additional charge we apply to a policy is a fixed administration cost which is added at the time a quotation is made and is identifiable as an item within the screen premium presentation. We do not charge an administration fee for mid term changes to your policy but may request additional premium if the level of cover changes or your personal circumstances change (e.g. change of address to a higher risk area).

If within 14 days of receiving your insurance schedule and the certificate of insurance you decide not to proceed with the insurance, you may cancel the insurance and receive a full return of premium, providing no incident leading to a claim has arisen.

Furthermore, you may cancel this insurance by notifying us in writing. You will be entitled to a pro rata refund of premium less Advent's administration fee, except where the notification of cancellation is received by us less than four months prior to the expiry date of the insurance. In which case no refund will be made.

We reserve the right to cancel this insurance by giving 14 days notice by Post Office Recorded Delivery to your last known address. Any return premium due to you will depend on how long this insurance has been in force and will be less Advent's administration fee.

Disclosure

You must disclose any items that may be relevant to the quote at the time of taking out insurance, failure to do so may invalidate the terms of your policy. Please read the full insurance wording for all policy terms and conditions relating to the insurance that you are purchasing. Your certificate number should be quoted in all correspondence.

Check your document to ensure that the cause of loss or damage is covered. Your Schedule will show which Cover sections are operative. Read the General Conditions. If you have a valid claim this should be advised to SIS Direct immediately in writing and subsequently supported by:

- a completed claim form (available from SIS Direct) giving full details of the circumstances leading up to and resulting in the event giving rise to the claim.

- receipts bills valuations or repair estimates as appropriate for all claims for loss and damage.
